Updated Action Plan On Implementation Of NATIONWIDE ARTIFICIAL INSEMINATION PROGRAMME – PHASE III (NAIP III) in districts with less than 50% A.I. coverage
A Nucleus Herd of all the Indigenous Bovine Breeds (37 Cattle and 13 Buffaloes) will be conserved and developed with the aim of enhancing their productivity and upgrading genetic merit
National Livestock Mission aims towards employment generation, entrepreneurship development, increase in per animal productivity and thus targeting increased production of meat, goat milk, egg and wool under the umbrella scheme Development Programme
The Rashtriya Gokul Mission is being implemented for development and conservation of indigenous bovine breeds since December 2014. Scheme is crucial for upliftment of rural poor as more than 80% low producing indigenous animals are with small and marginal farmers and landless labourers.
